I have taught fourth grade and now this upcoming school year I will be moving into first grade. I am hoping with your help I can build a fun and loving library for my new students. My students will be so thrilled to not only become stronger readers, but to leave their everyday struggles, stresses, worries, problems, and all the unknowns, and escape into a whole different world as they read. These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level. They will also be able to choose books that interest them to hopefully get them hooked on reading. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will aide my students in growing stronger in reading. This project will help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
