My school has a required dress code. Being at a Title I school, having a school uniform helps students to focus on their learning and not which new clothes they can afford, or how their outfit compares to other kids. However, being at a Title I school, we often have students that cannot afford to replace their clothes when they wear out or when they have a growth spurt. Living through the pandemic and online learning has only exacerbated this issue for some of our students. Some students are still struggling to fit into clothes that they wore prior to online learning. As the nurse providing hoodies so frequently that I can't keep them in stock and our school budget does not allow for replacement. This project would allow students to once again worry about their academics and not being cold.
