This new keyboard has been such an improvement on our previous equipment. It replaced a much older, broken down model and it has been a dream. \r\n\r\nWe were able to run our musical software through this keyboard and have huge success for our spring production. The students were so excited to have a much more reliable instrument to work with.\r\n\r\nThis will be a pivotal part of our education in musical theatre going forward and gives us much easier access to teaching music theory. These books provide a structured framework for teaching goal setting, accountability, teamwork, and personal responsibility—skills that directly translate to leadership development within our program. Cadets are using the habits to reflect on their choices, improve communication, and build confidence in leading their peers. By incorporating these principles into classroom discussions and leadership activities, students are learning to take initiative, resolve conflict respectfully, and develop a proactive mindset that will benefit them both in school and beyond.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the purchase of competitive Color Guard gear has elevated our cadets' performance and pride during drill and ceremonial events. Having proper equipment allows our Color Guard to train consistently, refine precision, and compete at a higher level. The improved presentation has strengthened team cohesion and boosted morale, as cadets now feel better prepared to represent our unit and school with professionalism. These resources have already made a meaningful difference in how our students prepare for and celebrate their creative work. The copy paper has been essential for printing planning materials, schedules, and judging resources that help us organize the event. The award certificate paper allows us to formally recognize our finalists and winners, giving students a tangible reminder that their creativity and hard work are valued.\r\n\r\nThe SD cards and SD card readers will be placed into gift baskets for our film festival winners. For many of our students, filmmaking is a new passion, and receiving equipment they can continue to use beyond the classroom is incredibly exciting. These tools allow them to keep creating, experimenting, and improving their storytelling skills. Having their work honored with certificates and useful filmmaking tools helps students see that their efforts matter and that their voices as young filmmakers are worth sharing.\r\n\r\nYour support also helped us protect an important classroom resource. The iPad we use as a mobile teleprompter allows students to practice professional production techniques when filming interviews, announcements, and short films in the field. The new protective case ensures that this device can continue to be used safely by many students for years to come. Even the everyday basics like trash bags, cleaning spray, and napkins have helped us keep our space clean and running smoothly.\r\n\r\nMy students were genuinely surprised that someone they have never met cared enough to make sure they had what they needed. Many students struggle to concentrate when they are hungry, and having snacks available removes that distraction. I have noticed improved focus, participation, and overall classroom engagement because students are able to concentrate on learning instead of worrying about their next meal. This simple support has helped create a more comfortable and supportive learning environment where students feel cared for and ready to succeed.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the extra classroom supplies ensure that students never have to worry about having basic materials like pencils or writing utensils. The technology has transformed how students interact with math concepts, how they receive feedback, and how confident they feel as learners.\r\n\r\nThe iPad will allow students to actively engage with mathematics rather than passively observe it. In both Algebra I and AP Statistics, students can write directly on the screen, annotate notes, highlight key steps in problem-solving, and organize their thinking in real time. This is especially powerful in math, where seeing each step clearly matters. Digital graphing tools, interactive practice, and immediate access to visual representations help students make connections that are often difficult with paper alone. Students can also easily revise their work, correct mistakes, and reflect on feedback, which supports deeper understanding and growth.\r\n\r\nStudents are most excited by how interactive and flexible the iPad makes learning. They enjoy being able to zoom in on problems, use color to organize their work, and instantly access examples or extensions when they are ready to go further. In AP Statistics, students appreciate being able to analyze data, view graphs dynamically, and explore \"what if\" scenarios that bring abstract concepts to life. The technology makes learning feel modern, relevant, and engaging, which increases motivation and focus.\r\n\r\nMany students who previously struggled with organization or confidence have especially warmed to the iPad. For Algebra I students, the ability to neatly structure their work and visually track each step has reduced frustration and math anxiety. Students who are quieter in class are more willing to participate when they can share digital work or ask questions privately through learning platforms. In AP Statistics, students who enjoy exploring data and patterns thrive when given tools that allow them to dig deeper and experiment independently. Overall, the iPad has helped students take ownership of their learning and feel more capable and empowered in math.\r\n\r\nThis technology has not just added convenience, it has meaningfully improved how students learn, engage, and succeed in mathematics.","fullyFundedDate":1768741228465,"projectUrl":"project/apples-are-than-oranges/10024024/","projectTitle":"Apples Are > Than Oranges","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Ozawa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9357213_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1699396849654","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9357213"},{"teacherId":8400110,"projectId":9993759,"letterContent":"I want to sincerely thank you for supporting our \"Clean Spaces & Full Focus for Special Education\" project.
