My Film Studies students are learning in a classroom where I also teach Italian. The film course is a new course for me and because of this, my room does not yet look like a Film Studies class. By creating an atmosphere where students can see my love of film I hope to encourage them to love movies, too. With new decorations and movie-themed board games, my students will have a more flexible and exciting classroom. The light-up signs will add excitement to the movies we watch while also reminding students what we are studying. Movie-themed board games will give us options for those days when our technology is down as well as a fun way to reward their progress. The earphones will allow for independent study time that will not disturb others in the classroom.
