All too often our students are expected to sit behind a desk for hours on end and absorb materials that they rarely see value in. My goal is to, not only give students a connection to the material, but also create opportunities for students to get out of their seats and work collaboratively to demonstrate their understanding in a creative manner. Students feel a sense of pride and accomplishment when they see their work displayed for others to see. The Post-It easel pads and markers will give them the opportunity to do just that. Additionally, the smaller Post-it notes will allow them a chance to comment on what other groups have created during gallery walks, getting students up and moving and engaging with their learning.
