It leads to more confident artistic expression and allows me to focus on creativity and skill-building rather than troubleshooting worn-out or inadequate supplies.\r\n\r\nThe tempera cakes purchased, in particular, offered a practical and low-mess alternative to traditional liquid paints. Because they are activated with small amounts of water, students can easily control how much pigment they use, reducing spills and waste. Paired with table paint palettes that were also donated, these materials help keep colors organized and prevent unintended mixing, which can often frustrate younger learners. The simplified setup and cleanup process means more instructional time is preserved, and classrooms remain cleaner and more manageable, even with large groups of students rotating through art activities.\r\n\r\nMaking painting more accessible has had a meaningful impact on my students engagement and inclusion. I can more readily incorporate painting into cross-curricular lessons, knowing that the logistics are manageable. As a result, more students have the opportunity to experience the benefits of hands-on artistic exploration—improving fine motor skills, fostering creativity, and supporting emotional expression.","fullyFundedDate":1768699903171,"projectUrl":"project/let-them-paint/10031134/","projectTitle":"Let them Paint","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wade","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8118906"},{"teacherId":5063376,"projectId":10007832,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredible generosity in providing flexible seating and drawing boards for our classroom. Because of you, our learning environment has been transformed into a space where students feel comfortable, supported, and excited to learn each day.\r\n\r\nThe flexible seating options have given my students the opportunity to choose where they learn best. Whether they are sitting on the floor, working at a low table, or using alternative seating, they are more focused, engaged, and empowered to take ownership of their learning. This sense of choice has made a noticeable difference in both their behavior and productivity.\r\n\r\nThe drawing boards have also been a wonderful addition. They allow students to think creatively, work through problems visually, and collaborate more effectively with their peers. From brainstorming ideas to solving math problems, these tools have made learning more interactive and accessible for all learners.\r\n\r\nYour support goes far beyond supplies—you have helped create a classroom environment where students feel valued, motivated, and inspired. The stories provided through this project have helped to create that love! My students have been able to share some of their favorite stories with the younger kids at our school. This opportunity meant everything to them! They got to share their favorite stories and teach some of the little ones about how to be a good reader. My first graders are now able to explore reading, math, and science concepts in far more interactive and personalized ways. With iPads and educational apps, students can listen to stories read aloud while tracking the words with their eyes, build math fluency through hands-on games, and even record videos explaining what they've learned. The technology supports every child's learning pace and style, which has helped boost both confidence and curiosity.\r\nWhat excites our students most is how they can \"show what they know\" using creative tools — drawing, voice recording, and interactive quizzes have turned lessons into lively experiences. For many of my young learners, it feels like they're mastering skills while playing, and their engagement shows. One student who used to be hesitant to read aloud now records herself narrating stories on Seesaw with a big smile; another student who struggled with attention loves earning badges in math apps for staying focused and completing challenges.\r\nThis project has not only enhanced academic skills but has also encouraged collaboration, creativity, and pride in every learner. These tools open the door for students to create digital stories, record reflections, and develop media-based projects that allow them to communicate their ideas in powerful and engaging ways.\r\n\r\nThe color printer plays an equally important role in our classroom. It will allow students to bring their work from the digital space into the physical world by printing drafts, visuals, and final products in color. This is especially meaningful for our arts-integrated approach, as students can see their ideas come to life, revise their work, and share it proudly with others. From storyboards and research notes to final presentations and displays, students will now have the ability to complete the full creative process.\r\n\r\nBecause I work with students across multiple classrooms, these materials will be shared among many learners. Your donation ensures that all students—regardless of their access to technology or resources at home—can fully participate in these enriched learning experiences. This kind of equitable access makes a lasting difference, not only in their academic growth but also in their confidence as thinkers and creators.\r\n\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity, your support, and your belief in our students. Our use of the color printer has been a game changer for sure. We have been learning about life in the 1800's, more recently those exploring the new west, and we used art to experience it up close. We have printed multiple 11 X 17 posters that bring the details of people, places, and things closer to students for deeper understanding about those times. We have had art readings, gallery walks, and used them for parent night. Using this new printer has been extremely helpful in bridging art to reading content and the students really enjoy it.\r\n Our next unit will be exploring the Civil War and we are planning on student engagement with the use of 6 panel storyboards. These stories will be enhanced with our new color printer to display student work and it will be exciting to see students engage with them in the hallway and show off their art. This is where students really express themselves and their understanding of the content and helps me assess what they know and what we might need to review. I can't wait! \r\n So thank you again and I sincerely appreciate your generosity on bringing art back in the classroom. Without this printer, we would be limited to very small book images that limit our desire to learn through various art forms and artist statements.","fullyFundedDate":1768703971462,"projectUrl":"project/engaging-history-in-full-color-bringing/10032754/","projectTitle":"Engaging History in Full Color: Bringing the Past to Life","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ghasserani","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10408572"},{"teacherId":5611806,"projectId":10003479,"letterContent":"Thank you for helping to re-stock my classroom with some essentials, like Air sanitizer, Musical Notes Bulletin Board Border, Music Stickers, Bluetooth Desktop CD Player, Orchestra Posters, Hand Sanitizer, Tissues, Magnetic Tape, etc.. \r\nBy the time you read this the tissues are almost gone (they were most appreciated) and several music resource posters fell down today, so I will be using that magnetic tape!
