The apps that I have found for music education do everything from helping students learn music vocabulary and symbols, reading and playing music, to creating their own compositions. There are apps for all ages, K-12 and beyond. I would love to create a music technology corner in my classroom. We all know that children are drawn to games and technology, and the huge impact that smart phones and tablets have had on our youth. I would like to incorporate that technology into my lessons and use their excitement about “playing games” to further my students’ music knowledge and creativity. Music has always been a love and passion of mine, and I want to inspire children to see the benefits and fun that it can add to their lives. This iPad could help differentiate instruction in my classroom, by providing learning and creating apps for students to explore.
