If there is a gift you can give a child - it is the gift of an imagination that can be taught and embraced through reading. By investing in our classroom library, you are giving more than 26 students an opportunity to use their imagination to experience different people, places and things that can be found throughout my classroom library. I believe that there is no such thing as a student not interested in reading, that student just hasn't found the right book. If these books are purchased for our library, my students will be able to borrow books that they are interested in without having to wait. Books are magical and can take students to places they have never been before. Unfortunately, the library I currently have has less than 50 books. Having less than 50 books in my library means that my students don't have many options to choose from when we are doing reading centers, budding reading, or even just silent reading in our classroom. Help me inspire my students by providing books for them to read!
