Students are highly motivated by the opportunity to use these seating options, which has increased participation and focus during instructional time. By providing a more comfortable and supportive learning environment, students are better able to sustain attention, regulate their behavior, and remain engaged in their work. Additionally, classroom boards and anchor charts are intentionally kept accessible throughout the entire day, allowing students to independently reference academic content, reinforce learning, and support problem-solving across subjects. As part of a resourceful approach to classroom design, older bean bags were repurposed with added foam to improve structure and comfort, extending their usability while maintaining a welcoming learning space. Together, these intentional choices have contributed to improved productivity, stronger on-task behavior, and a more positive, student-centered learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1768320053188,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating/9992550/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rabago","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6827383"},{"teacherId":5050244,"projectId":9989280,"letterContent":"We are so thankful for the generous donations to our Pre-K classroom. These materials are used every day to support hands-on learning, creativity, and engagement. The clear-view bins help us keep materials organized so students can easily find and clean up their learning tools.\r\n\r\nStudents love using the Animal Kingdom Blocks, small animal figures, and imagination builders to create farms, zoos, and pretend play scenes. These activities build creativity, language, and social skills as children play and interact with one another.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic building sets and bingo wands are favorites during centers and small group time. They help students practice sorting, counting, and fine motor skills in a fun and interactive way. The number pebbles and measurement center give students opportunities to explore early math concepts like counting, comparing, and understanding how much things hold.\r\n\r\nArt materials like the washable tempera paint allow students to express themselves creatively while strengthening fine motor skills. Because of your kindness, our students now have access to materials and resources that truly enrich their learning experience and inspire a deeper love of reading and writing.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, books are more than just pages—they are windows into new worlds, mirrors that reflect our own lives, and doors that open to understanding others. Your donation has allowed us to expand our classroom library with engaging, diverse, and high-interest texts that meet students where they are and encourage them to grow. Many of our students did not previously have consistent access to books they felt excited about reading. Now, they eagerly reach for stories that spark their curiosity and imagination.\r\n\r\nBeyond books, your support has also helped us provide essential learning tools that make lessons more interactive and meaningful. You are helping to build a classroom environment where students feel valued, supported, and motivated to succeed. That encouragement can make all the difference in how they approach challenges and pursue their goals.\r\n\r\nAlready, I have seen a noticeable increase in student engagement and enthusiasm. Students are more willing to participate, share their ideas, and take pride in their work.
