Before this project was funded, my 5th graders were often fighting against their own natural energy. Now, thanks to you, that energy is being channeled into teamwork, scientific inquiry, and deep focus.\r\n\r\nMoving and Learning\r\nThe impact started on the very first day we took the new basketballs, soccer balls, and bases out to the field. Recess has shifted from \"what do we do?\" to organized, inclusive games where students are practicing leadership and fair play. Inside the room, the \"rigid desk\" era is over. The Wobble Chairs and Chair Bands have been a game-changer for my students who need to move to think. It's incredible to see a student bouncing away on a chair band while being completely locked into a complex writing assignment.\r\n\r\nScience You Can Touch\r\nIn our Science and Math blocks, the magnifying glasses and measuring tools have turned \"reading about data\" into \"collecting data.\" My students no longer have to imagine what a milliliter looks like or how the veins of a leaf are structured—they are seeing it and measuring it for themselves. The Dry Erase Poster Boards have also become a hub for \"rough draft\" thinking, allowing students to take risks in math without the fear of making a permanent mistake on paper.\r\n\r\nA Supportive Culture\r\nFinally, the sensory fidgets and liquid motion bubblers have provided a quiet, dignified way for students to self-regulate. When a student feels overwhelmed, they now have the tools to reset their focus independently. Coupled with the small incentives we use to celebrate \"Aha!\" moments, our classroom culture has become more joyful and encouraging.\r\n\r\nYour investment did more than provide supplies; it sent a message to my 5th graders that their education matters and that their community believes in their potential.
