I am requesting books, games, and other materials to help them with their reading which will help my students develop their reading skills. The sight word books will allow them to practice their immediate word recognition and practice their reading fluency. Students will be able to read fun, engaging books and become better readers at the same time. By donating to this project, you are helping the readers of today become the leaders of tomorrow. Not only will the books help students practice their reading skills, but they can use games and other materials, like the whiteboards to help as well. Each student will get a whiteboard, marker, and eraser to write words or sentences. These materials will be used throughout the school day, whether it is during whole group lessons, small group lessons, or for individual practice. Students will be able to read books to me, with their classmates, or to themselves. The games will allow students to play and learn together as they strive to become better readers.
