My students have an awesome opportunity to be included in a general education building interacting with peers to the most extent possible. Part of my job is to expose my students over and over, to experiences general education students have had. I can address some of these experiences with the materials that may be provided by DonorsChoose Program. Every student learns at a different level and pace. With your help, I can bridge some of the social impact COVID-19 has had on my students. The stadium seating will allow students to interact on the same level, while keeping a safe distance. The over the chair organizer allows peer equality, while keeping leveled materials separate and handy for each individual. During the early years of school, the curriculum in kindergarten states that students learn how to work together in a productive classroom community with rights and responsibilities. In addition, students engage in understanding how individuals learn and work together in the school and classroom community. My students are not fully aware of social interactions that are happening to them or around them. Recognizing personal emotions and social cues are practiced everyday. Some of the materials I am asking for will give an awareness of social cues and recognizing emotions. 1.ME.1.1 Recognize the relationship between emotions and actions. (Per NRS 389.520) Repetition of skills are required for every one of my students. I try to practice basic academic skills in as many different ways possible to ensure comprehension. Given the vastly different disabilities in my classroom, specific materials are needed. Many of the materials are specific disability oriented so that every student has an equal opportunity for learning. the Kindergarten curriculum states that each student should: RF.K.1d Recognize and name all upper- and lowercase letters of the alphabet.
