My project serves several different subjects; I am hoping to reach my scholars in reading, math as well as social and emotional. I am looking to meet the various needs of my scholars. With their being such a wide range it is my hope to increase fluency in both reading and math, word recognition, increase confidence in learning and develop a growth mindset. In purchasing Lakeshore materials I will be addressing Main Idea and Key details (R.I.3.1-3.3) to assist scholars with better understanding the text that they are reading. I'm excited for scholars to engage with the multiplication fact manipulatives as we are excited about learning our math facts (3.OA.A.3)! I'm sure scholars will enjoy having a hands on way to explore their facts. I also added a few chapter books to expose scholars to higher leveled texts. I believe that students find a joy in reading by stepping away from the curriculum and escaping away into a book. It is my hope that we can begin to do quarterly book studies for the remainder of the year. Lastly the ink and laminating pouches will be used for me to continue purchasing and printing resources on TeachersPayTeachers for scholars to grow. I have a few activity sets that I would like to print in color that I use my personal ink for. All of these donations will assist in helping my scholars grow and thrive in this years production.
