The impact of your donation was immediate and profound. Many donors might wonder how a new printer fits into a modern classroom, but it has truly been our tech anchor. Instead of just staring at screens, my 10th graders use the Epson printer to bring their digital health research to life, printing out custom infographics and wellness portfolios that they organize with their new folders and stamps. The most exciting piece for the students, however, has been the timers and clocks. It sounds simple, but watching them actively track their pacing during fitness circuit challenges using the resistance kits has made time management tangible. They love beating the clock, and it has turned standard health lessons into an interactive, high-energy environment.\r\n\r\nThis project has been an absolute game-changer, especially for a few of my students who typically struggle to stay focused during traditional lectures. One student in particular, who used to tune out during discussions on stress management, completely stepped up when given the responsibility of managing the station timers. Having physical tools to handle—and the fruit snacks to keep their energy up—has given these students a sense of ownership over their learning. Seeing them transition from passive observers to independent, motivated leaders in their own well-being has been the greatest reward. Thank you for giving my students the resources to build healthy, autonomous habits that will last a lifetime.","fullyFundedDate":1771633088569,"projectUrl":"project/mind-body-and-print-essentials-for-he/10105135/","projectTitle":"Mind, Body, and Print: Essentials for Healthy Teens","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Melia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9445233"},{"teacherId":3711819,"projectId":10103618,"letterContent":"As the year comes to an end I reflect on all the students I served this year. This project has already created meaningful learning opportunities for my English Language Learners as they practice using maps, identifying street names, giving directions, and understanding how to move safely through their community.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest impacts has been helping students learn how to navigate their day-to-day journeys to and from school more efficiently. Many of my students are still becoming familiar with their new home and transportation systems. Using GPS mapping and route planning has helped them better understand local streets, landmarks, and safer or more efficient travel routes. Students are building confidence as they learn how to independently plan routes, estimate travel time, and make informed decisions about how they move through the community.\r\n\r\nThe technology has also made language learning more engaging and practical. Students are excited to connect classroom vocabulary with real places they recognize and travel through each day. They are practicing authentic communication skills by describing destinations, following directions, and discussing routes using academic English. This project has helped students see that language learning is not just something that happens in a classroom — it is a tool that empowers them in everyday life.","fullyFundedDate":1771474972132,"projectUrl":"project/mapping-our-community-gps-learning-for/10104573/","projectTitle":"Mapping Our Community: Gps Learning for English Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Jeffs","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9169619_orig.jpg?crop=399,399,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1692053123768","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9169619"},{"teacherId":7936915,"projectId":10105183,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your continued support.
