With the funds, we were able to purchase new supplies and equipment to make the library a better place to study and learn. We use the batteries for the various remote controls around the library. The label maker is essential for day-to-day operations. We use it on, literally, every book we purchase for the library and school. \r\n\r\nMost importantly, your donations allowed us to purchase three new puzzles and three frames for the student to work on puzzles. Prior to receiving the frames, if we ever needed to clear space for testing or meetings, we would have to dismantle the puzzles and put them away. Now, we can simply move the frames en masse. Many of my students are still becoming familiar with their new home and transportation systems. Using GPS mapping and route planning has helped them better understand local streets, landmarks, and safer or more efficient travel routes. Students are building confidence as they learn how to independently plan routes, estimate travel time, and make informed decisions about how they move through the community.\r\n\r\nThe technology has also made language learning more engaging and practical. Students are excited to connect classroom vocabulary with real places they recognize and travel through each day. They are practicing authentic communication skills by describing destinations, following directions, and discussing routes using academic English.
