The Academy of Finance and Entrepreneurship is in its second year of existence with students enrolled from all backgrounds. They are enrolled in one of two academies within our business programs in a public high school of nearly 2000 students. My students will be the first to graduate from the academy completing courses in several areas of business. They have chosen to enroll in the academy to challenge themselves, prepare for their future in gaining real-world work experience through work-based learning and a required internship. They are also required to complete a college-level course their senior year. The academy increases rigor and relevance not only academically but also professionally in the workplace.
