During the lab, students compared the combustion of a standard petroleum fuel (kerosene) and a biofuel (ethanol). They compared the flames from the alcohol lamps filled with the two different types of fuel, and then measured the amount of time it took water to boil over each type of flame. They also compared the soot produced by the flames. There is no time for scrambling for supplies, fighting over limited resources, or even patiently waiting for a turn. \r\n\r\nWith your donation, our resource cubbies are at the fingertips of all the students every day. There is enough for everyone and students have been putting them to good use! We have created model bones, sliding filament models, or just supplemented notes with doodles to help with retention.
