When they first saw the boxes of candy, they were incredibly excited. My students showed growth in reading and writing. The candy gave us a fun way to recognize their hard work and celebrate their progress. The parade culminated in the cafeteria, where a member of the GSA shared how that experience was, \"so connecting!\" and that made all our hearts sing! \r\n\r\nThroughout lunch, we were able to continue passing out Pride swag, as well as hold tables where students made their own friendship bracelets and put on Pride tattoos.
