With laptops my students will be able to do independent research and develop the skills they need to succeed in college and careers. They will research global issues and create presentations to advocate for their research-based solutions. Laptops will be the perfect tool to prepare students to be global citizens who show up for their community and those in need across the world.
By donating to our project you will provide opportunities to people who have historically been denied them. 100% of my students are economically disadvantaged and all are people of color. The disparities in the education my students have received thus far are apparent, and it is time for this to change. By providing my students with the technology they need to learn about the world, you are opening doors for them that have previously been closed. These doors are being opened just in time, as my high school students are on the brink of entering college where they will face an exciting yet daunting host of challenges.
