The new texts you provided allow my AIS Reading scholars to practice essential early literacy skills through structured, engaging experiences. Our decodable books support the Science of Reading approach, helping scholars to apply phonics skills such as blending sounds, recognizing spelling patterns, and building confidence as they decode unfamiliar words. The Creepy Carrots, Creepy Crayon, and Creepy Underwear books add a wonderful element of humor and suspense while we practice comprehension skills like predicting, retelling, and identifying character feelings.\r\nReading in my AIS classroom is very interactive. Scholars work with Elkonin sound boxes to break words into individual sounds, use dry erase boards to practice spelling patterns, and highlight parts of words as they learn prefixes, suffixes, and vowel teams. We also read together in small groups, practice decoding with partners, and celebrate when a tricky word suddenly \"clicks.\" The new materials have made our reading time feel like a combination of learning and discovery.\r\nSeveral of my students who once felt hesitant about reading are now especially excited when we open our new books. The humor in the Creepy series makes them laugh while they practice important skills, and the decodable books allow them to experience the pride of reading words independently. Even the small tools—like the sound boards, markers, and word games—have helped turn reading practice into something active and fun. It has been incredibly meaningful to watch their skills and confidence grow.\r\nThank you for helping create an environment for my AIS Reading scholars where they feel supported, capable, and excited to learn.
