Small group instruction is vital to the success of our students, especially students with special needs. Our current small group work area consists of two rectangular tables that are set perpendicular to each other. Unfortunately these tables tend to migrate away from each other, causing pinched fingers, missing supplies and loss of vital instructional time. A kidney table provides a smooth surface where all students can access instruction. It will allow me to maneuver easily through the group to focus on each students' individual needs while creating a miniature learning community within our classroom. The students will be excited for the new addition to our instructional space.
