During a lesson on describing proportional relationships, students worked in small groups to explain several different relationships. It was fun to see the students get excited about having choices in the markers. Afterwards, the small groups engaged in a gallery walk to compare and contrast how groups explained their thinking. \r\n\r\nWhen I used the yellow chart paper to create an anchor chart on percent proportions, the students commented how different it was to see the yellow paper because they were used to seeing only white chart paper.
