My students need visuals and communication tools wherever we are on campus or in the community. Typically we use paper pictures for them but this often limits us to what we have! With ipads we can bring student questions to life, let them write things down for us, and find plenty of pictures for them wherever we are on campus! Students will be able to look up pictures or links about items for cooking, vocational tasks, or academics whether we are outside on the field learning game rules or in the hallway working on life skills. Having an ipad will allow us to have everything they need at our fingertips at all times! After being home with access to the internet, our students have learned to rely on it to help their communication! This way we can continue to work with students on their communication in a way that is familiar to them!
