Students who previously struggled with abstract math concepts are now able to access and understand grade-level content through hands-on, visual experiences that make learning more concrete and engaging. Tools like LEGO bricks, magnetic tiles, and coordinate grids have helped students model and explore concepts such as ratios, integers, and graphing with greater confidence, while instructional games have increased participation, collaboration, and problem-solving in a low-pressure environment. I have seen a noticeable decrease in math anxiety and an increase in student willingness to take risks and persist through challenges. Additionally, flexible seating and sensory supports have improved students' ability to self-regulate and stay focused, leading to more productive learning time.
