Our Student Council students were excited to put the new materials to work as they prepared for our first house assembly of the year. Students used the supplies to create decorations, signs, and large cutouts that transformed the gym for the assembly. The staplers were especially helpful for hanging signs and student-name cutouts throughout the space. Students were able to take their ideas from the planning stage and actually build and display the decorations themselves.\r\n\r\nThese resources have given our students an opportunity to be creative while also practicing teamwork, leadership, and responsibility. Seeing their work displayed throughout the assembly made them proud of what they had accomplished and helped create an exciting experience for the entire school. This was only our first assembly, and we are looking forward to using these materials again as students begin designing and creating decorations for our upcoming assemblies. Middle school students have a lot of energy, and having an alternative seating and movement option can help students stay engaged and focused during class. Our CPR lessons have been an especially meaningful part of Health this year, and your support helped make the experience even more engaging for students.\r\n\r\nFinally, your generosity provided positive posters and wall art to decorate our Health classroom. Since I am teaching in a new Health classroom this year, creating a space where students feel comfortable, encouraged, and motivated has been very important to me. The new decorations have helped transform the room into a more welcoming environment and remind students every day that Health class is a place where they can learn, grow, and make positive choices for themselves.\r\n\r\nWhat may seem like simple classroom supplies can have a much bigger impact on students. These resources help me create opportunities for movement, hands-on learning, creativity, and positive messages throughout the school day. More importantly, they show my students that people in their community believe they are worth investing in.\r\n\r\nI am especially thankful because my students are learning much more than facts and vocabulary in Health class.
