Students of V. Middle School need some supplies to begin the dance team. Parents of this demographic didn't have the money to support their children in outside physical activities, and now especially after Covid, those types of funds are not available. They cannot afford to put them in club sports and rely on school teams. They do not have the money to pay for the items needed for the students. The materials and supplies will help our school to start up a dance team with no beginning funds. This activity will motivate students to complete assignments and show good behavior. The donation of a speaker will be used for practice and performances of the students in the cafeteria where there is no speaker. Students will use the bags to bring their dance clothes and shoes to practice. Students' shirts and bags will be designed/ customized with their names and the school name to represent them as a dancer for FMS. The students will have a sense of pride wearing their shirts on spirit and game days. The wipes will be used to sanitize the cafeteria after practices. Students that attend this school haven't worked with others and learned how to adapt and compromise. Teamwork is an important skill for adulthood and becoming a well-adjusted person. These students under normal circumstances without outside help would not have the opportunity to be involved in such a capacity. DonorsChoose is a stepping stone for these students to begin their personal journey after such an emotionally draining year.
