Instead of completing isolated assignments, students design and produce tangible products, taking ownership of the entire process from concept to creation. Through projects like designing Halloween Jibbitz and custom pins, students developed skills in problem-solving, precision, iteration, and creativity. They quickly learned that design choices matter—not just for aesthetics, but for functionality and manufacturability—mirroring authentic industry practices.\r\n\r\nBeyond skill development, 3D printing has empowered students to make a direct impact through fundraising. By creating and selling holiday-themed items such as Halloween accessories and Christmas ornaments, students raised funds to support our TSA chapter. This experience gave them a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship, teamwork, and the connection between their work and real opportunities. Their efforts are helping make it possible to attend state and national TSA conferences—experiences that expose them to competition, networking, and future career pathways they might not otherwise have access to.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, this work has built confidence and purpose. Students see that their ideas can become real products that others value and support. They are not just learning technical skills—they are learning how to contribute, collaborate, and create opportunities for themselves and their peers. Your support has made this possible, and it is directly opening doors for students to grow, succeed, and represent their school on larger stages.","fullyFundedDate":1769448578826,"projectUrl":"project/3d-printing/10054330/","projectTitle":"3D Printing","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Davisson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5864053_orig.jpg?crop=1343,1343,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1667588569212","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrdavisson"},{"teacherId":8150213,"projectId":10047266,"letterContent":"The items that you provided helped students with the daily needs of my class and with physics labs. Your contributions have had a meaningful and lasting impact on the learning environment and daily experiences of 170 biology students.\r\n\r\nBecause of your donations, our classroom was able to obtain chlorine disinfectant wipes and laboratory safety aprons—two resources that have significantly improved both safety and instructional quality during hands-on science learning. These supplies may seem simple, but their effect on student learning, confidence, and responsibility has been profound.\r\n\r\nThe chlorine wipes have become an essential part of our daily laboratory routine. Before each lab investigation, students now actively participate in disinfecting their workspaces, ensuring that all surfaces are clean and safe for scientific exploration. This practice has helped reduce the risk of contamination and has reinforced the importance of hygiene in scientific research. Students are learning that science is not only about collecting data and analyzing results, but also about maintaining controlled, clean environments where accuracy and safety are priorities.\r\n\r\nIn addition to improving cleanliness, the wipes have supported the development of student responsibility and accountability. Each group understands that they share responsibility for maintaining a safe classroom environment for their peers. This has encouraged teamwork and respect for shared spaces, both of which are essential skills in scientific and professional environments.\r\n\r\nEqually impactful have been the safety aprons provided through your generosity. Prior to receiving these aprons, students had limited protection during laboratory activities, which sometimes created hesitation when working with biological materials or chemical solutions. Now, with proper protective equipment, students are able to fully engage in experiments with confidence and peace of mind.\r\n\r\nThe aprons have helped create a stronger sense of professionalism in the classroom. Students now enter the lab understanding that they are participating in authentic scientific investigations that require appropriate safety measures. This shift has elevated their engagement and seriousness during experiments. Many students who were previously cautious or uncertain in lab settings are now more willing to participate actively, ask questions, and explore scientific concepts through hands-on learning.\r\n\r\nFor 170 students, these improvements have collectively transformed the biology classroom experience. Laboratory activities are now more structured, safer, and more aligned with real-world scientific practices. Students are not only learning biology content, but also developing essential skills such as safety awareness, procedural discipline, and collaborative responsibility.\r\n\r\nBeyond the immediate classroom benefits, your support has also helped foster a long-term appreciation for scientific inquiry. When students feel safe and supported, they are more likely to take intellectual risks, engage deeply with content, and develop a lasting interest in science. Your contribution has therefore extended far beyond materials—it has directly influenced student mindset, engagement, and academic growth.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, it is incredibly rewarding to see students take ownership of their learning environmen","fullyFundedDate":1768191731668,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-safety-hygiene-project/10008596/","projectTitle":"Classroom Safety & Hygiene Project","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Popescu-Hatch","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2359759_orig.jpg?crop=518,518,x13,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1634191691753","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2359759"},{"teacherId":9352062,"projectId":9992650,"letterContent":"Thanks to your help, my classroom has been transformed in the most incredible of ways. One standout moment was seeing students eagerly dive into the activity, asking thoughtful questions and helping one another as they built their understanding together—something that was much harder to achieve before we had these tools.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement in the room was immediate and contagious. Students were curious, energized, and genuinely grateful. Many of them expressed how special it felt to have new, high-quality resources just for them. It created a renewed sense of motivation and pride in our classroom environment, and that enthusiasm has carried over into their daily work and participation.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, these resources will continue to support deeper learning and more creative exploration. My students use the anchor charts and color-coded visuals to break down complex literary concepts like tone, symbolism, and argument structure, especially during whole-class discussions and writing workshops. One standout moment was during a timed writing practice: students used sticky tabs and notes to organize their evidence, while the large wall clock helped them pace themselves with confidence. The Eggspert game has also transformed review days—students are energized, competitive, and far more engaged when revisiting key concepts before assessments.\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, students immediately noticed the difference in the classroom environment. The bright chart paper, organized supplies, and interactive tools made the space feel more purposeful and student-centered. Many commented that the room felt \"more like a real learning space\" where they could actively participate rather than passively listen. The simple addition of tools like folders and labels has helped students stay organized, which has reduced stress and increased their ability to focus on their writing and analysis.\r\nAs we move forward, students are applying these resources to a deeper literary analysis unit. They are currently working on crafting argumentative paragraphs and preparing for a larger synthesis essay. Using the visual supports and annotation tools, they are building stronger claims and integrating evidence more effectively. Seeing their ideas written out in a large, visual format helped every student feel included and modeled the thinking process in a way that made complex concepts much easier to grasp.\r\nThe impact on my students' learning has been profound, especially in how they now approach problem-solving together. These materials have shifted the classroom from passive listening to collaborative creation, allowing students to take ownership of their roles as \"scribes\" and \"facilitators\".
