My students are in the 9-10 grade and are preparing for the Biology proficiency test. Ethnic population is dominated by the Spanish speakers 61%, followed by Afro-Americans and white students. I teach at one of the biggest High Schools in our city, where teachers and administrators act like one to accomplish their goal: using effective teaching and technology to help students to pass proficiency tests, graduate high school and be prepared for college. Our school is a college preparatory academy where magnet students are required to be proficient with Office applications and the use of digital media to create projects through visual mediums. The students need to use Apple Pads to work on their theme related projects.
