Knowing that generous people outside of our classroom cared enough to support their learning made them feel incredibly valued and excited for math class.\r\n\r\nWe are already putting every single resource to work in our daily lessons. During our interactive whiteboard practice, students use the fresh markers, mini erasers, and cleaner to solve multi-step math problems right at their desks with zero downtime. Having pre-sharpened #2 pencils and cap erasers on hand means no student loses valuable instructional time searching for supplies, while our spiral notebooks and colored cardstock serve as interactive math journals for formula guides and hands-on projects. To keep momentum high, the sweet treats serve as instant positive reinforcement whenever students persevere through challenging problem-solving activities.\r\n\r\nAs we move deeper into our curriculum with ratios, expressions, and geometry, these supplies will remain the backbone of our daily routine. Your support has made a massive impact, and I am thrilled to share the wonderful outcome with you.\r\nWhen the packages arrived, the kiddos were absolutely super excited! I unboxed the gifts in front of them, and their faces completely lit up with joy as they saw all the amazing new resources. However, I have to give you a laugh about one specific item: the copy paper. While I was secretly rejoicing, the kids were definitely not too happy about that one! One of my kiddos actually shouted, \"NOOOO! More paper means more work!!!!\" It gave us all a great laugh, but rest assured, this teacher is very grateful for it!\r\nMost importantly, your kindness has created a wonderful new wave of motivation in our room. The ultimate outcome is that the children now want to work so much harder in class so that they can earn their special classroom treats. They are channelled and determined to continue working hard by actively participating in class and achieving better scores on their upcoming i-Ready testing.\r\nYou haven't just given us supplies; you have genuinely changed the energy in our classroom and inspired these students to push themselves academically. The portable monitor, keyboard, mouse, and privacy screen have given me the flexibility to bring counseling support to students rather than always requiring them to come to my office. I can more easily complete check-ins, work through social-emotional activities, review goals, and provide individualized support while still protecting students' privacy. This has been especially helpful for students who may be hesitant to seek out the counseling office but are more comfortable connecting with me in a familiar space.\r\n\r\nStudents have also been excited about the smaller details that make our time together feel welcoming and comfortable. The sensory stickers give students something calming to use while we talk, folders help them keep track of goals and resources, and small treats provide a fun way to recognize effort, growth, and positive choices. Sometimes these simple things are exactly what help a middle school student open up and engage.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, this project has helped me meet students where they are—both physically and emotionally. Having tools that allow me to be more mobile means I can provide support when students need it most, helping them regulate, problem-solve, and return to class feeling more prepared to learn. Snacks also played a positive role by helping create a more comfortable and focused learning environment, especially during longer work periods.\r\n\r\nWhen students were first introduced to the new materials, their reactions were overwhelmingly positive.
