During our interactive whiteboard practice, students use the fresh markers, mini erasers, and cleaner to solve multi-step math problems right at their desks with zero downtime. Having pre-sharpened #2 pencils and cap erasers on hand means no student loses valuable instructional time searching for supplies, while our spiral notebooks and colored cardstock serve as interactive math journals for formula guides and hands-on projects. To keep momentum high, the sweet treats serve as instant positive reinforcement whenever students persevere through challenging problem-solving activities.\r\n\r\nAs we move deeper into our curriculum with ratios, expressions, and geometry, these supplies will remain the backbone of our daily routine. The portable monitor, keyboard, mouse, and privacy screen have given me the flexibility to bring counseling support to students rather than always requiring them to come to my office. I can more easily complete check-ins, work through social-emotional activities, review goals, and provide individualized support while still protecting students' privacy. This has been especially helpful for students who may be hesitant to seek out the counseling office but are more comfortable connecting with me in a familiar space.\r\n\r\nStudents have also been excited about the smaller details that make our time together feel welcoming and comfortable. The sensory stickers give students something calming to use while we talk, folders help them keep track of goals and resources, and small treats provide a fun way to recognize effort, growth, and positive choices.
