All the materials requested will assist students with feeling calm and comfortable, which are key to promote openness when expressing and discussing feelings and emotions. The futon will provide a comfortable and relaxing space for students to sit. The candy requested will act as a positive reinforcement for engaging students as well as positive social and emotional growth. The sensory lamp will act as a tool to assist with calming frustrated or angry students. The punching bag will allow angry and aggressive students a socially appropriate outlet to express their feelings and get them out in the form of physical activity. The teen social and emotional workbook will allow me to have an evidence based curriculum to teach effective social and emotional learning.
