Students perceive Science as a very hard subject. Giving them the opportunity to do hands-on learning and help them see that all the concepts of Science can be applied in a real-life situation will help us overcome their frustration in this subject. Wave is a very interesting topic. We can show them a video, do calculations about wavelength and velocity, but teaching them through experiential learning will not just get their interest but will also promote long-term learning. I am very much hoping that acquiring some laboratory equipment for waves will quench the thirst of my students for Science, most especially because they had a school year of virtual learning set up. Now that they are back to school, catching their interest immediately will help us for them to loving science. I entitled my project Science is WAVING because the focus of my project is about waves, and I want to welcome them into the world of science.
