They allow students to show their thinking with endless space while also being an eco-friendly alternative to paper. Index cards, rings, special pens, and highlighters are also used in many ways, from practicing phonemes, morphemes, and sight words to highlighting phonics patterns and organizing learning activities.\r\n\r\nYour generosity helps ensure that my students always have the tools they need to practice, explore, and grow as learners. Watching their faces light up as they clearly heard themselves pronounce letter sounds was unforgettable. The sound phones have helped students focus, build confidence, and strengthen phonemic awareness.\r\n\r\nThe Translucent Letter Builders and Light Table Alphabet Tracing Tiles quickly became student favorites. This month we came back from a 16 day Winter Break and were able to immediately jump right into science! My classes eagerly dove in with excitement and 100% engagement from each student our very first day coming back from break (which in our world as teachers can be very difficult to do!) \r\n\r\nThe students began their day by familiarizing themselves with the atomic model kits and through discovery began making observaions. One student while trying to build the challenge \"CO2\" expressed \"are each of these beads a particle or something like that?\" where another student noticed some letters in our challenges were upper case like CO2, but some were lowercase like AlCl3 and in real time made a whole class connection sharing \"Chlorine and Carbon are different, because look the 3 Chlorine beads can connect to Aluminum bead but does not with the Carbon bead.\" \r\n\r\nFrom there we were able to advance our knowledge to Chemical Equations where your donation allowed our students to make intuitive connections around very complicated topics like Conservation of Mass and Balancing Chemical Equations. Students connected on our first day of learning Chemical Equations that matter never disappears it only rearranges because you have brought numbers and letters from a page to their hands!
