Do you remember how it felt the first time you completed a puzzle on your own or completed a problem that was mentally difficult? That success feels good and that feeling you have from being successful makes you want to challenge yourself again! During remote teaching, I showed my students that I could solve a Rubik's Cube in under 5 minutes. They couldn't believe it! They wanted to learn how to do it too. I saw this as an opportunity to teach my students important skills around problem-solving, patience, memory, and concentration. I ended up getting a couple for kids to practice with. By the end of remote learning, most students had mastered solving a Rubik's Cube on their own!
