During our recent cross-curricular research project, seeing the students walk over to the cabinet, pull out their personal file folders, and dive straight into their assignments with a clear sense of ownership was a wonderful moment.\r\n\r\nWhen the file cabinet was first delivered and unboxed, the students were genuinely thrilled. Having a brand-new, permanent piece of classroom furniture made them feel like true professionals. They loved writing their names on their folder tabs and choosing where their work would live. It gave them a tangible sense of pride and made them feel that their work is valuable and worth keeping safe.\r\n\r\nWith our new filing system up and running, our students are currently preparing for our upcoming student-led conferences. Over the next few weeks, they will be reviewing the work saved in their file cabinet, selecting their strongest pieces, and reflecting on areas where they have grown.
