Technology is an essential component of any 21st century classroom. Unfortunately, technology is not readily available to all students and teachers. At our school, technological resources are extremely limited. Even things that are considered foundational in most classrooms can be hard to come here. This year, I'm teaching in classrooms without a projector, and I lack the resources to procure one myself. This is essential not only for my general lectures, but also for viewing things like textbooks together (since not all of our students have access to them). I teach in three different classrooms and we need a reliable projector that can travel on a cart from one side of the school to the other. A new projector could help keep my classrooms on track for presentations, lectures, videos, and other communal activities. This type of resourcing challenge is indicative of the disadvantages my students face both in school and out. Please help give my wonderful students the technology they deserve to be fully engaged in their learning. Your donation will dramatically and directly improve our learning environment.
