In an era where our students are now looking at everything through a screen, I want to enhance what they look at through the lens of history. But not only this, to also give those students who do not have access to the internet, which many students in our area unfortunately do not, the same opportunities as their peers. I strive to give them the opportunity to see themselves in the classroom and what they learn so they all can create those meaningful connections. As we learn about history, and those events that have marked a change in our World, students must also have the opportunities to see their impact on today's world. Upfront Magazine is going to give them this exact opportunity, to see themselves in the history being made. With these magazines, they will be able to make those meaningful connections and see what in the past has caused them to happen. My goal is to help them create a well-rounded perspective of the world, so that when they are older, they can make the best, and most informed decisions for not only themselves, but their future.

About my class
