This technology has helped students learn and teachers connect with students and their various learning styles. It has transformed the learning experience by making it more accessible for all students. More importantly, the technology has made the difference in developing early literacy skills by creating a print rich environment young children need for later school success. Through the use of this printer we have been able to print and label classroom materials. These labels have helped students with identifying letters and reading simple words. We have been able to print various forms for students to use during free choice center time that encourage writing skills. \r\n\r\nThe thing that has been most exciting to students about this printer is the learning opportunities it has provided. The high quality color pictures have been used as a visual aid during read alouds, small group activities, etc. to help teach complex concepts, vocabulary or build comprehension. Students have been more engaged and involved in the learning with the use of the color printer. \r\n\r\nSome students have warmed more to this new technology by asking for pictures to be printed for independent activities. Students have asked for words to be printed so that they can see the correct spelling of words they are trying to write. As a teacher, this initiative students have recently taken towards their learning has reinforced the importance of having technology in the classroom. We have and will continue to benefit from your kindness and generosity through the use of this printer.","fullyFundedDate":1774963865475,"projectUrl":"project/ink-to-support-young-learners/10157309/","projectTitle":"Ink to Support Young Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. B.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5904139_272x272.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1537805602782","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-bpk"},{"teacherId":5904139,"projectId":10159146,"letterContent":"Some skills or lessons introduced by these new text are book and print awareness, alphabet knowledge and language skills. Seeing their faces light up at the sight of real, shiny rewards has made them more eager than ever to dive into books and celebrate their achievements.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, our students have pushed themselves to reach new heights, frequently choosing to replace screen time at home with extra chapters of reading. The resources have already helped create a more joyful and supportive classroom environment where students feel motivated to do their best.
