My students do not often have a consistent ability to use computers for art. This limits their ability to engage in creating and innovating in digital media. This project, granting 5 dedicated digital art computers would allow my students to have access to the technology needed to create digital work. This is an important step in leveling the playing field for students in a title one school. The students learn self expression, design, problem solving, and self efficacy through STEAM. My students use programs such as Paint3D, Adobe Spark, and web design to create and display their art. This project would also increase our students capacity to grow and develop as we continue to build our innovated advanced elementary school art program.
