My students will check out books much like a library. They have their favorite options in my very own classroom. I take classroom polls before requesting books in an attempt to select the most popular books for my students to check out and have available. We would very much appreciate optional reading materials in our classroom! Having extra reading options in my classroom will allow me to encourage a lifelong love of reading in my students! Oftentimes, many of my students' favorite selections are unavailable in the school or public library. In an effort to support my students, I've learned that I must first provide interesting books in our own classroom! My goal is to find at least one interesting book for my students to independently read throughout each school year.
