The books that I am requesting will provide a visual extension of the dance concepts that my scholars are learning in class. Combining literature with physical movement solidifies the concepts being taught. Teaching dance by using high-quality literature and picture books makes learning fun for elementary students. Literature is a catalyst for movement. The books I have selected will aid in teaching both creative dance and specific dance genres. Displaying these books on a bookcase will provide a graphic visual for what is happening in their bodies. These books will help them discover the joy of dance and acquire a love for reading.
