This technology has already made such a big difference in the way we learn and has given us so many opportunities to make learning fun, hands-on, and engaging for our students.\r\n\r\nOne of the things our students love most is being able to use the fun learning materials we create, print, and laminate. We have printed and laminated many different activities to help our students practice writing. Although our students are only in Pre-K, they absolutely love being able to trace letters and their names in different and exciting ways. The majority of our students can already write their names independently by using their name tags as a guide, and we have seen so much growth!\r\n\r\nWe have also created letter-matching games that allow students to match uppercase letters to lowercase letters. We use these games during centers and whole-group activities. Our students especially love gathering together on the carpet for whole-group lessons, where we play letter and letter-sound games. These activities make learning feel more like play while helping our students build important early literacy skills.\r\n\r\nAt the beginning of the school year, many of our Pre-K students were still learning how to hold and control a pencil. Being able to provide them with fun, engaging ways to practice writing and recognizing their names and letters has helped them grow tremendously.\r\n\r\nWe are only at the end of September, and our students have already made such incredible strides! But the BEST part was watching the butterflies develop and fly away. The looks on their faces as each step happened was priceless.\r\nThe Cyanotype Paper was a wonderful experience for them. They were able to see the sun work in real time. They had such fun collecting natural things to make art. We also used the paper to make their name with magnets and the sun.\r\nAs this year commences with new students, they are also enjoying the snapblocks and other hands on materials. I have yet to use the cyanotype paper with this new group, but will be doing so before long. The joy that comes from each new experience that the kids have is so exciting.
