This project will make a great difference in fostering a love of reading in my students! We will use the headphones and bean bag chairs to make sure that we have comfortable spaces to read and listen to books. We will use the bean bag chairs during small group reading time. We utilize a program that helps our struggling readers gain confidence by reading to each other and having a safe and comfortable place to do this will greatly improve the overall function of each group . The new seating options will allow students to comfortably interact with books and each other. Most of my students struggle to stay still and seated in traditional chairs and desks and the option to sit in a more relaxed way allows them to focus more on the actual task of reading. We will use the headphones to listen to books on our Chromebooks. I want my students to have every opportunity available to become well rounded individuals and lovers of reading.
