Both allow them to focus more on what they need to do.\r\nI look forward to being able to support my students more with these resources this year and beyond. The soccer pinnies and football flags have allowed us to organize structured games, helping students practice teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship. One memorable moment was watching a group of students who don't play together form teams, assign roles, and successfully run their own football game using the new flags—they were so proud of themselves.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials were first introduced, the excitement was immediate. Students cheered, asked questions, and couldn't wait to get outside and try everything. The class auction rewards were just as impactful—students were highly motivated, and it created a positive, goal-oriented atmosphere in the classroom. Seeing their faces light up when they were able to \"win\" an item through their hard work was incredibly rewarding.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to continue building on this momentum by incorporating more student-led activities, both in the classroom and at recess. We are currently working on lessons around goal-setting and positive behavior, and these materials play a key role in reinforcing those skills. Recently, we worked on a project where students used the tracer projectors to enlarge and outline their ideas, then brought them to life using watercolor techniques. This process helped them focus on both planning and creativity, and it was amazing to watch their confidence grow as they saw their ideas come together.\r\n\r\nThe moment we opened the supplies was filled with excitement and curiosity. Students were immediately drawn to the vibrant colors of the paints and couldn't wait to start creating. For many, this was their first time using these types of materials, and their enthusiasm was contagious. They eagerly shared their artwork with one another, offered compliments, and even helped each other learn new techniques. The Play-Doh also became a great tool for students to build and design, giving them another way to express their ideas beyond paper.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, students are beginning a new project where they will create original pieces that tell a story about themselves or their community. They will use a combination of drawing, painting, and sculpting to bring their ideas to life. With all of the posters, books, tablet and other visual resources, my students are able to immerse themselves into a classroom where learning is constant and fun. We discuss tough topics in class and having those visuals which you will see in a couple of the photos I posted, the visual learners can enhance their learning with maps, graphs and other important pertinent information. \r\n\r\nThe students were excited that we were selected for the grant. They understand that an immersive and well stocked classroom is expensive, as they too have to pay for certain supplies. Being funded allows for me to have pencils, highlighters, markers and other resources available to the students, so that they don't have to lug all of that in their backpacks. Cleaning supplies are definitely important to keep the classroom disinfected and as clean as possible. All of these items are very expensive and you have saved my students and I a lot of money. \r\n\r\nOverall, we are extremely grateful to be funded for this year, and to have a solid amount of supplies that will carry into next year.
