By continuously filtering the air, the purifier helps remove dust, allergens, and airborne particles that can create poor air quality. As a result, students and I have experienced fewer sicknesses in comparison to classes that do not have air purifiers. The cleaner air has created a more comfortable learning environment, allowing students to remain in the classroom for extended periods without feeling fatigued or uncomfortable.\r\n\r\nIn addition to improving air quality, the air purifier has contributed to a noticeable decrease in student illness and absenteeism. With fewer airborne germs circulating in the classroom, students are less likely to become sick, leading to more consistent attendance and uninterrupted learning. This healthier environment supports students' ability to focus, participate, and remain engaged throughout the school day. Many students benefit from having a small, quiet fidget because it provides a safe outlet for excess energy and sensory needs without disrupting learning. With their hands occupied, students are better able to attend to lessons, listen to directions, and remain seated for longer periods of time. I have observed a decrease in off-task behaviors such as tapping, leaving seats, or seeking constant movement, which allows for a calmer and more structured learning environment.\r\n\r\nIn addition to improved focus, the use of fidgets has increased overall student productivity. Students can complete assignments more efficiently and with greater accuracy when they feel regulated and comfortable. Fidgets have supported students in managing frustration and anxiety, leading to improved perseverance during challenging tasks. As a result, students demonstrate greater independence, increased task completion, and a more positive attitude toward learning, contributing to academic growth and success in the resource room setting.","fullyFundedDate":1757683193292,"projectUrl":"project/fidget-me-timbers/9473709/","projectTitle":"Fidget Me Timbers!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lividini","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9023149"},{"teacherId":4805326,"projectId":9681370,"letterContent":"We have used our camera so many times already. Your support has already made a meaningful difference in how my students learn and move through our space each day!\r\n\r\nWe are using the cable management covers, extension cords, and light timers to safely organize our Chromebook charging stations and lab equipment. Cords are now secured in high-traffic areas, which has eliminated tripping hazards and reduced distractions during class. One specific moment that stood out was during a recent lab activity—students were able to move smoothly between lab stations without worrying about cords on the floor, allowing them to stay focused on the investigation rather than their surroundings. The improved organization has also made it easier to manage lab groups efficiently and keep materials running safely and on schedule.\r\n\r\nThe drafting chair with wheels has also been a game changer. I am now able to move easily between student groups, check in during labs, and provide support exactly where it's needed. Students have responded positively to this, often inviting me into their group discussions and asking more questions, which has strengthened collaboration and engagement.\r\n\r\nWe will continue using these resources as we move into more complex labs and group-based science projects. Students will take on greater responsibility for setting up and maintaining their workspaces, reinforcing the importance of safety, organization, and teamwork.
