It is so wonderful to have a home for all of the parts and hardware that my robotics students use every day! Having all of the nuts and bolts we use to build our robots stored in an organized and secure manner, while still being readily accessible has allowed my students to work more efficiently and spend more time bringing their creations to life, rather than searching for the parts they need. \r\nThe T-Stak tool boxes were invaluable for traveling to events with my competition teams. They were able to neatly and securely pack all of the tools, controllers and spare parts they needed to successfully compete. \r\nI am deeply grateful for your support in helping make my classroom an environment in which my students can succeed and reach their greatest potential.","fullyFundedDate":1766411888311,"projectUrl":"project/robots-are-taking-over/9969269/","projectTitle":"Robots Are Taking Over!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Lore","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3065155_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1529581558550","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3065155"},{"teacherId":3412716,"projectId":9934800,"letterContent":"Your generosity has transformed how my students engage with science, and I wish you could have seen their faces the moment they received their new markers and mechanical pencils. What might seem like simple tools quickly became instruments of pride and precision. As soon as the materials were passed out, students immediately began sketching, revising, and adding detail in ways I haven't seen before. There was a noticeable shift—students who are usually hesitant leaned in, eager to contribute, because they felt equipped to do high-quality work. The classroom buzzed with excitement as they realized they had the tools to make their ideas come to life.\r\nWe are using these resources in our STEM units to create detailed, visual explanations of scientific concepts, like the sound wave projects you see here. Students illustrated how sound travels through different mediums, labeling components, refining diagrams, and using color intentionally to show frequency, vibration, and energy transfer. The precision of mechanical pencils allowed for careful scientific labeling, while the markers helped students highlight key concepts clearly and creatively. One memorable moment was watching a group revise their work multiple times—not because they had to, but because they wanted their final product to truly represent their understanding. These tools empowered them to take ownership of both the science and the presentation.\r\nLooking ahead, these materials will continue to support deeper learning as we move into more complex units involving waves, energy, and engineering design. Students will build on these skills by creating annotated diagrams, interactive notebooks, and collaborative project displays that communicate their thinking with clarity and confidence. The next step is having students present and critique each other's work, using their visuals as a foundation for scientific discussion. Because of your support, they are not just learning science—they are learning how to communicate it thoughtfully and effectively. It is amazing to watch how many kids can whip themselves into shape after seeing a peer be rewarded with a jolly rancher, a sticker or a small prize. \r\nI had my students help me unbox the materials and they \"oooohed\" and \"ahhhed\" over each thing they pulled out of the box. Our club, Park 21, worked extremely hard to design a red carpet experience that would uplift every parent, student, and staff member that came to the show. \r\n\r\nThis year, our play was Spongebob the Musical and our team decided to create an underwater theme for our red carpet event. The students hung the blue streamers down the hallway, blue and white globes from the ceiling, and created large heads for some of the iconic Spongebob characters. We also rolled out the red carpets, built a Krusty Krab sign, created custom art pieces, and added \"seaweed\" to the design. The jellyfish lanterns were also a huge hit with the attendees. \r\n\r\nCreating and designing this hallway is one of our club's favorite projects of the year.
