This is the first time in many months that all students will be back in the classroom together. For many of them, this will be the first time they have been in school! In addition, it is the first time all of my 6th grade students will be in a science classroom since science is not taught in our elementary schools. To make the transition back to school a little bit easier for all, I will decorate our classroom to help students feel welcomed, safe and excited to learn. I will use string lights, fake ivy, and double sided tape to create a comfortable atmosphere. I will use the organizational bins to house hands on lab supplies, colored pencils and other classroom essentials. In addition to the classroom decor and organizational pieces, the hand sanitizer, tissues, and paper towels will give us the supplies we need to continue to stay safe. These supplies together will make sure we have a great start to the new school year!
