Your kindness and willingness to invest in our students has made a meaningful difference, and we are incredibly grateful for your contribution.\r\n\r\nBecause of your donation, our students now have access to technology that many of them have never experienced before. A 3D printer is more than just a cool piece of equipment—it is a powerful learning tool that allows students to turn their ideas into real, tangible objects. For many of our students, learning becomes much more meaningful when they can see, design, and physically create something with their own hands. Thanks to you, that type of hands-on learning is now possible.\r\n\r\nThis 3D printer will allow our students to explore creativity, engineering, design thinking, and problem-solving in ways that traditional lessons simply cannot provide. Instead of only reading about how things work, students can design their own models, test their ideas, and improve their creations through trial and error. This process teaches perseverance, innovation, and critical thinking—skills that are incredibly valuable both inside and outside the classroom.\r\n\r\nOur students are already excited about the possibilities. They are eager to learn how 3D design works and to see their digital creations come to life. From creating models for science and math lessons to designing practical items and artistic creations, the opportunities for learning are endless. The excitement in the classroom when students realize they can actually build something they imagined is truly incredible to witness.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is helping expose our students to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) opportunities that will prepare them for the future. Technology is constantly evolving, and giving students early access to tools like a 3D printer helps them develop confidence and curiosity about the world of innovation and design. Experiences like this can inspire students to explore careers in engineering, architecture, design, manufacturing, and many other fields.\r\n\r\nBeyond the academic benefits, your donation also sends an important message to our students—that there are people who believe in them and care about their education. Many of our students may never meet you in person, but they will absolutely feel the impact of your generosity every time they use the 3D printer to bring an idea to life. Knowing that someone supported their learning helps build motivation, pride, and a sense of possibility.\r\n\r\nYour support helps create opportunities that our classroom would not otherwise have access to, and it allows us to provide engaging, modern learning experiences that spark curiosity and imagination. We are so excited to begin incorporating this technology into our lessons and to watch our students grow as creators, problem solvers, and innovators.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of our entire classroom, thank you again for believing in our students and supporting their education. Your generosity will have a lasting impact on their learning experiences for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1768161508798,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-learning-with-3d-printing/9998869/","projectTitle":"Hands-On Learning with 3D Printing","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hurley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6770837"},{"teacherId":4799479,"projectId":9900575,"letterContent":"Thank you all for your generous donations to our LEGO club. The new texts introduced skills such as close reading, annotation, character analysis, and thematic interpretation, while also encouraging students to make connections across cultures and time periods. Students learned how to compare original language with modern translation, analyze authorial choices, and support their thinking with evidence from the text.\r\n\r\nReading in my classroom is active and collaborative. Students read aloud, perform scenes, annotate passages, and discuss big ideas in small groups. With Macbeth: No Fear Shakespeare, students were able to confidently engage with Shakespeare's language without feeling overwhelmed. The side-by-side modern translation allowed them to focus on understanding character motivation, symbolism, and themes like ambition and moral choice rather than getting stuck on unfamiliar vocabulary.\r\n\r\nIn World Mythology, students especially enjoyed having access to a wide range of global myths. Several students gravitated toward stories connected to their own cultural backgrounds, while others discovered new traditions they had never encountered before. These books sparked thoughtful research questions, creative projects, and rich discussions about how different cultures explain human behavior and the world around them.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my students are not just reading texts—they are analyzing, questioning, and connecting with stories in ways that deepen their understanding and appreciation of literature.","fullyFundedDate":1745328122030,"projectUrl":"project/words-witches-and-world-myths/9250865/","projectTitle":"Words, Witches, and World Myths!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bates","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8173884_orig.jpg?crop=296,296,x0,y5&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768600695727","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8173884"},{"teacherId":8173884,"projectId":7980397,"letterContent":"Thanks to this project, my students were able to learn in a classroom environment that truly supported their academic and social-emotional needs. Several students volunteered to help organize the shelves, proudly sorting books and recommending titles to classmates. That moment captured exactly what this project made possible: ownership, collaboration, and pride in our shared learning space.\r\n\r\nWe used the sticky chart paper and class set of markers during collaborative lessons where students brainstormed ideas, mapped arguments, and shared their thinking with peers. Students who are typically hesitant to participate felt more comfortable contributing when working together visually. The prong folders helped students keep their work organized across multiple steps of the assignment, and the fluorescent light covers created a noticeably calmer atmosphere, helping students stay focused and engaged—especially those sensitive to bright lighting.\r\n\r\nWith these resources in place, students are better prepared to work independently, support one another, and take responsibility for their learning. They also experienced the design process through 3D printing and applied computational thinking by creating binary bracelets that encoded their initials. Interactive Harry Potter trivia reinforced collaboration and critical thinking while keeping the atmosphere fun and accessible.\r\n\r\nGranger Girls successfully created a welcoming, confidence-building environment where students could explore STEM concepts without intimidation.
