The use of these magazines will help our students with update, engaging reading. These students are low readers, the lowest in the school, and struggle with reading and writing. We are in search of a supplemental to our curriculum, that students will find entertaining and will want to read. It is often hard to find reading material that is at the students current level that is age appropriate. Most of these students are English language learners and/or students that have a disability with reading and writing goals on their education plan. The use of these magazines will give students reading material that is age appropriate. Often students feel they are given "baby" reading, just because they read lower than other students at their grade.
