The addition of a Sublimination Printer and Cricut supplies will allow students to create designs and transfer them to the items of their choice. These items in conjunction with our class Cricut Maker, Mug Press, and EasyPress will allow for a lesson on merchandising by planning and creating items, all the while creating stronger bonds with their peers. Planning, creating, and producing different items will help them learn the process. This will allow them to feel success and pride in their creations. As special education students, many lack confidence in academic areas and life skills, giving them the opportunity to create something new will motivate them in other academic areas. These projects allow them to see how they can be successful while also giving them opportunities to work on their social skills.
