The graphing calculators will help my students focus on critical thinking in real world situations. Many of these students will become engineers, doctors, financial analysts, etc. In these professions, the goal is understanding how to use data to make life altering decisions, to understand economic trends, and to be able to make predictions. I am teaching these children early on that the goal of mathematic is not the creation of formulas and graphs, but using formulas and graphs to be able to make these critical evaluations. Please see HSF-IF.C.7. Thank you for your consideration.
