We've been using the new materials during our daily small group math rotations, and they've made such a difference already. The resources have allowed me to create targeted, hands-on stations where students can practice foundational skills at the right level for them.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments so far has been using our new small group cart to keep everything organized and accessible. We keep our whiteboards, dry erase markers, and erasers on the cart, which makes solving word problems fun and engaging. The counting color cubes are also stored there, and they've become one of our most helpful tools for visually modeling multiplication and division.\r\n\r\nMy students love using the whiteboard so much that they ask for them every day! They've been so respectful about using them appropriately, and the excitement they bring to small group time has made our lessons even more meaningful.\r\n\r\nOur next step in the classroom is to work toward funding a new iPad to support instruction. Our school uses Apple AirPlay, so having a newer generation iPad would allow me to connect more efficiently and prepare lessons more quickly than with my current device. This upgrade would help us make the most of our small group time and keep instruction running smoothly.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your support and for helping my students learn and grow. Your generosity truly makes a difference in our classroom every day.","fullyFundedDate":1756939550928,"projectUrl":"project/middle-school-math-usbe-ai-for-k12-educ/9656579/","projectTitle":"Middle School Math USBE AI for K–12 Education","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Moor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10227531_orig.jpg?crop=4284,4284,x0,y728&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756394394220","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10227531"},{"teacherId":1796804,"projectId":9553855,"letterContent":"Our 7th- and 8th-grade ELA classroom is incredibly grateful to receive a full class set of \"Holes\" and \"The Outsiders\", two novels that are both engaging and essential for developing deeper reading skills. These books will allow all students—especially our English Learners and reluctant readers—to participate fully in shared reading, discussions, and literary analysis without barriers. With enough copies for everyone, students can annotate, revisit key chapters, and build confidence as they explore themes like friendship, identity, justice, and resilience. This donation ensures that every student has the opportunity to meaningfully connect with high-interest literature and strengthens our ability to create a supportive, equitable, and enriching reading environment.","fullyFundedDate":1755747024971,"projectUrl":"project/turning-pages-together/9553855/","projectTitle":"Turning Pages Together","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Leona Schulz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1796804_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y168&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1642708905277","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-schulz"},{"teacherId":8301793,"projectId":9582294,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations! My students have been loving the new equipment. Since it is still early in the year, we have not gotten a chance to use all of the equipment yet. \r\n\r\nWe started the year off with frisbee and disc golf. The foam frisbees that we received were a tremendous help. Students are often nervous to catch the frisbees because sometimes they hurt their hands or hit them if they are not successful at catching. The foam frisbees really changed the game for us! Every student was throwing and catching without fear and they had a blast. We played games to see who could catch and throw the most times in a row, who could throw the frisbee the furthest, and also played disc golf and kept track of our scores. The foam frisbees were amazing and my students really enjoyed playing with them! \r\n\r\nThe next piece of equipment we have recently started to use is the inflatable giant volleyball. This has been so much fun! Volleyball can be a very difficult sport for some students and they sometimes struggle to make contact with the ball, due to the size. The inflatable not only makes the game incredibly fun but it provides a much larger target for students to try and hit! Even my students who do not like to participate were up and moving and getting involved in our volleyball game! \r\n\r\nWe can't wait to put the rest of the equipment to use and see all of the fun ways we can use everything. Thank you again so much, my students and I are really appreciative!","fullyFundedDate":1756516049874,"projectUrl":"project/adaptive-pe-in-action/9582294/","projectTitle":"Adaptive PE in Action","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Parry","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8301793_orig.png?crop=294,294,x0,y26&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1663088610406","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8301793"},{"teacherId":3072989,"projectId":9618013,"letterContent":"Thank you for funding my project. It has allowed me to purchase a projector clicker and various fidget items to incorporate movement into my classroom. Your support has made a significant difference in how I engage with my students and has positively impacted their learning experience. \r\n\r\nThe projector clicker has proven to be an invaluable tool during lessons. It has given me the freedom to move around the room while controlling presentations seamlessly, which not only helps maintain students' attention but also allows me to better observe and respond to their needs. Being able to interact more dynamically with the classroom has improved the flow of instruction and fostered a more interactive learning environment. This has been especially helpful during group discussions and presentations, where I can guide students without being tethered to the projector.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the clicker, the fidget items have brought a wonderful new dimension to classroom management and student engagement. Many students benefit from having discreet movement options to help them focus, and these tools offer just that.","fullyFundedDate":1755553478159,"projectUrl":"project/usbe-ai-for-k12-education/9618013/","projectTitle":"USBE AI for K–12 Education","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Allen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3072989"},{"teacherId":1796804,"projectId":8682192,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support! The new books you have provided to us have made quite an impact in our classroom. They introduce students to important reading skills, such as analyzing literary devices, making inferences, and exploring themes like empathy and resilience. These books help students become more confident and active readers while developing both comprehension and critical thinking skills.\r\nIn our classroom, reading is a dynamic, social activity. We read on our own, in smaller groups, often discussing what we have read and finding the connections with our life. The new books stir excitement and curiosity, where children discuss the character, plot twist, and theme of a story. They are not only reading but debating over stories intelligently.\r\nMany of our students greatly enjoy the diverse characters and plots of adventure. In the case of some, witnessing characters they can relate to has grown the sense of identity and pride that they have in their readings. Others are getting lost in fantasy worlds, expanding their imaginations and creative thinking. Your support fosters an appreciation of reading and nurtures students as readers and thinkers.","fullyFundedDate":1727985111017,"projectUrl":"project/modern-literary-horizons-expanding-stu/8682192/","projectTitle":"\"Modern Literary Horizons: Expanding Student Perspectives Through Contemporary Novels\"","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Leona Schulz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1796804_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y168&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1642708905277","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-schulz"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_33189","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":805,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":87,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":31,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":52,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":64.9,"schoolId":33189,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Midvale Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Midvale Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/utah/canyons-school-district/midvale-middle-school/33189"}
