The materials I am requesting are to help create a classroom more suitable for learning. Since Covid 19, I have noticed a large increase in mental health issues in the students I teach stemming from health related anxiety. These materials will benefit students by providing a greater peace of mind in the classroom. This project aims to benefit students by creating an environment that feels safe, clean, and conducive to learning. An air purifier will benefit students in my classroom who have anxiety about the current pandemic and give a peace of mind that we are doing everything we can to ensure their environments are as clean as possible. The robot vacuum will help with the current staff shortages that are greatly affecting what our custodial staff are able to do. School custodians are busy with new Covid 19 protocols, and I am fortunate if my classroom is vacuumed twice a week. This is problematic with middle school students, especially my science classes who participate in labs in a carpeted room.
