Technology is naturally more engaging than paper or books. My students are far more motivated to work and less likely to disrupt others, when using technology. Using technology in the classroom also helps students focus on their individualized goals. There are many research-based, educational apps and programs are available to support my students diverse needs and abilities. With iPads in the classroom, my students with learning disabilities can access text-to-speech, reading, writing and math applications. There are also many apps that can also help support those with Autism, cognitive delays or communication disorders. Most importantly, having access to technology will allow my students to learn and grow, and find success in what they can do to become champions!
